As Industrial Design you will:
● Work directly with CEO and an integrated team of designers and engineers to ensure project completion
reflects ARMR brand standards within deadlines.
● Direct and coordinate all aspect of company’s apparel and hardware design, iterative prototyping,
production, and advanced material research and integration.
● Initiate and prepare detailed specifications for products, equipment, tooling, and processes to obtain
optimum cost and quality manufacturability.
● Implement and utilize strategies to ensure concurrent engineering and design for manufacturing concepts
with the design engineering team and partner suppliers.
● Spearhead development of appropriate user experience and design research infrastructure to enhance
product design and user/stakeholder engagement (i.e. interviewing, surveying and assessment of
users/stakeholders).
● Participate in prototype builds, conduct tests, and collect data.
● Product design steps involving drafting, sketching, and prototyping components of the entire product
system. Paper and 3D modelling tools will be used heavily, as well as cardboard and simple mockups.
● Collaborate with peers to manage the development of appropriate testing to verify product meets internal
and external customer requirements.
● Produce all of the expected UX artifacts: personas, scenarios, journey maps, task flows, wireframes, screen
layouts, and interaction models, while rapidly evolving concepts into buildable designs.

Key Qualifications
● Degree or pursuing a degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or related field
● Able to relocate to Baltimore, MD
● A strong digital portfolio demonstrating good design sense, understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy,
color theory, patterns and other design principles.
● 0-3 years of relevant industry experience (medical device, consumer goods, hardgoods,
consumer/commercial electronics).
● Strong design, communication, and organizational skills.
● Detail oriented with a strong sense of style and consistency.
● Experimental design and end-user interactions. Capturing user attitudes and pains.
● Skills:
o Ideation, brainstorming and concept rendering (ie. sketching, modeling, etc.)
o Strong technical writing skills
o Proficient with Advanced 3D modeling and rendering software:
▪ SolidWorks proficient (required)
▪ Gerber Pattern Design software (preferred)
o Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
● Must have access to personal laptop with current Creative Suite & Microsoft Office
