Here in Maryland, anchor institutions are joining forces to provide local entrepreneurs and investors with a regular gathering space to learn and network. Anchor Ventures programming provides a venue and a hub of activity to spotlight resources, as well as excitement about building and participating in an innovation ecosystem. Anchor Ventures reinforces the strong elements of the ecosystem that exists already in Maryland and provides a forum for enhancing them for entrepreneurs, investors and the resource partners in the region. Many times, entrepreneurs are not aware of the full extent of resources available and we want to create more connections across the ecosystem.

Anchor Ventures provides a focal point to grow and enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the greater Baltimore region. By addressing challenges such as attracting, educating, retaining and connecting the players across our ecosystem, we believe we can start to make change that matters.
