Hop Flyt, Inc., a Maryland startup, has raised $1.5M in Series A funding for their electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The startup, backed by TEDCO, has also received pre-seed funding from Maryland Technology Development Corporation. Hop Flyt is developing three vertical mobility aircraft, including Venturi, a high-speed and long-range vehicle expected to be ready for flights by 2025. They have also secured a deal with Albers Aerospace for the military version of Venturi, called Vortex, and have completed successful flight demonstrations of their prototypes.
